That can confirm that someone completed a course. It does not necessarily help them think differently at the bedside, manage a difficult situation, facilitate a better conversation, or make a stronger clinical decision.

What is a ROSC Intensive?

More focused than a course. More practical than a webinar.

A ROSC Intensive is a focused, cohort-based learning experience built around a specific area of clinical or educational practice.

Each Intensive takes place over several weeks. Learners complete flexible asynchronous content between shifts, cases, and the rest of their actual lives. They then come together for live, facilitated sessions where they work through realistic situations, compare approaches, ask questions, and learn from one another.

The result is an experience with enough flexibility to be realistic and enough structure to keep people engaged.

Clinical Educator Intensive

Being an expert clinician does not automatically make teaching easy. This four-week Intensive is for healthcare professionals who teach, precept, mentor, coach, or facilitate others. Learn practical approaches for identifying learning needs, giving meaningful feedback, facilitating learning, and helping clinicians develop their own judgement in real clinical environments.

Hemodynamics Intensive

Hemodynamics is more than memorizing numbers and medication doses. This four-week Intensive helps clinicians understand what is actually happening with flow and perfusion, including the upstream and downstream effects of squeezing vessels, pushing more volume, and making the heart go faster. Work through practical cases to understand hemodynamic patterns, titrate vasopressors with purpose, and connect every intervention back to the patient’s physiology.

Ventilator Intensive

Mechanical ventilation can feel complicated. This four-week Intensive makes it practical. Learn to read the ventilator screen, understand how the patient and ventilator are working together, recognize oxygenation and ventilation problems, and respond to common clinical challenges through flexible learning, live expert sessions, and the Ventilator Simulator.

  • A ROSC Intensive is a multi-week learning experience focused on a specific area of clinical or educational practice. Each program includes asynchronous learning, applied cases, practical resources, and scheduled synchronous sessions.

    Step 1 - Choose your Intensive

    Select the topic and cohort that work for you. Before registering, you will see the complete schedule, learning format, live-session dates, and access period.

    Step 2 - Learn on your schedule

    Complete practical, mobile-friendly learning over several weeks. Each part of the program prepares you for the cases and conversations that follow.

    Step 3 - Join the live cases

    Meet with your cohort and a ROSC facilitator for structured, case-based discussions. Bring questions, compare approaches, and work through the parts that are less tidy in real life.

    Step 4 - Apply it in practice

    Finish with practical frameworks, resources, and approaches you can return to after the Intensive ends.

  • Because flexibility matters, but so do conversation, accountability, and learning from other people.

    The asynchronous content gives you time to build the foundation at your own pace. The live sessions give you an opportunity to test your thinking, ask questions, hear different perspectives, and work through cases where there may not be one perfect answer.

    Cohorts also create a shared learning experience among professionals who may approach the same situation differently. That is particularly valuable in healthcare, where effective care depends on multiple professions understanding one another’s thinking and priorities.

    You are not required to be available at the same time every week. Each Intensive clearly identifies its live-session schedule before registration.

  • ROSC Academy Intensives are designed for the range of professionals involved in clinical care and healthcare education.

    Depending on the program, learners may include:

    The goal is not to pretend that everyone has the same role or scope of practice. The goal is to build shared understanding while allowing each learner to apply the content within their own role, setting, and responsibilities.

  • We get it. Life and shift work can be unpredictable. If you can't make a live session, you'll have access to the recording to watch afterward.

    If you'd like to attend the same session with a different cohort, just let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

  • Yes. Learners who meet the completion requirements for an Intensive will receive a certificate of completion through their ROSC Academy account.
