How did ROSC start?
The seeds of ROSC were planted over 12 years ago when Allan and Rob first crossed paths in the emergency department (ED) - Rob, a paramedic, was a regular in Allan’s ED, and when Rob later became a nurse, Allan became his preceptor (whether Allan regrets that is still up for debate!). Over the years, they’ve teamed up to teach emergency nursing, present at conferences, and craft curriculum that doesn’t put people to sleep.
Scott, Rob’s brother, is the newest and arguably the most important addition to the team, keeping the business on track. With his knack for operations and strategy, he ensures that everything runs smoothly while the rest of us are busy dreaming up new ideas.

What did we do about it?
After more than seven years of brainstorming, planning, and fine-tuning, we finally launched ROSC, just in time to tackle the growing need for professional development that’s actually engaging—especially for frontline healthcare providers who are more burned out than ever.
We’re a diverse team of emergency nurses, paramedics, a nurse practitioner, a researcher, and, for good measure, a banker. With over 25 years of combined experience in educational design and facilitation, we’ve seen it all, from the mundane to the downright dreadful. That’s why we’re on a mission to make professional development something healthcare providers actually look forward to. We blend the latest learning science with hands-on experiences to create courses that boost skills, build confidence, and advance careers.

Who Advises You?
We also know our knowledge and exposure limits. To help with this and ultimately create better education, we work with an amazing board of advisors from clinical expertise, academia, and research to continually improve these programs for you and represent everyone as best as we can.
More information about our board and us individually is below.
